Car Rally and Malay Conversation Course( only for P6s)
Halo again guys! 3 announcements today!
1. There is a car rally hosted by the Marlin Sea Scouts for all pupils of Tao Nan School and their families.It is a family bonding session for all. I'm sure you have received the notice,but just in case you have lost it,here are the details.
Date : 27 August 2006 ( Sunday)
Time: 9am-5pm
Venue: Kallang Mcdonald's Carpark (Flag off)
Cost : $100/- per car (max. of 2 adults and 2 kids)
( $10 for every additional child participant)
Refreshment will be served at the end of the rally,but you must navigate your way there first!
Registration closing date is : 7 July 2006

2. On 7-8 July, there will be an ExCEL Festival hosted by the MOE for all MOE staff and the public to share and learn about how innovative teaching practices in schools are enhancing the students' education.The activities on the 7th will cater to MOE staff and the activites on the 8th will be opened to parents and members of the public.
Schools will be closed from 12 noon on 7 July (Friday) to allow all teachers to participate in the ExCEL Fest.
School hours on that day are as follows :
AM SESSION ( P2, P4 , P5 and P6) : 7.3o am to 9.30 am (reporting time 7.15am)
PM SESSION ( P1 and P3) : 10 am to 12 pm (reporting time : 9.45am)
Please make the necessary transport arrangement. The school bus drivers have been informed of the school hours on that day.

3. This is for ALL Primary Sixes of Tao Nan School only.I believe you have already received the notice about a Simple Malay Conversation Course for P6 pupils by the Tao Nan Alumni Association and Central Council Of Malay Cultural Organisations Singapore. Below are the details:
Total Sessions : 8 sessions + 1 Final Test / Evaluation (Oral Test) session
Duration of each Session : 1.5 hours
First part (30 minutes) : Explanation of meaning and pronunciation
Second part ( 1 hour) : Simple conversation (speaking) / partner or group
Practical- dialogue and its application
Venue : Tao Nan School
Course Commencement : Saturday , 8 July 2006
Inclusive of : Course notes (8 sessions + final oral test)
CD-Rom -- Basic Malay Multimedia p1
CD-Rom -- Basic Malay Phonics CD
Certificate of Participation by Majlis Pusat
Course Fee : $ 95.00 per student ( for 8 sessions) incl. GST 5 %

OKAY. Announcements made.Now, Mdm Neo's Dragonboat Competition.I really hope you guys,Tao Nanites or Ex-Tao Nanites, come down to Bedok Reservoir at 1pm on the 1st and 2nd of July.It will be very fun.Do come, Sunday is Youth Day, so Monday is a school holiday.Thanks!
